Experience an enchanting celebration of Lunar New Year featuring lights, music and visuals at the top of every hour from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Atlantic Green. The nightly show features a beautifully designed, 90-foot-long dragon with over 25,000 lights, known as a Chinese symbol of good fortune, emerging from a cloud of fog near Atlantic Green and over 400 red lanterns illuminating the area for a special lantern show to honor the spiritual tradition that celebrates the reunion of loved ones. Visit here to learn more.

Stand-Up Comedy Show Serving Up Laughs, Cocktails, Art and More    

Thursday, January 19, 2023 From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

– As we enter in to a new year, Distillery of Modern Art continues its Top Shelf Comedy series, a monthly stand-up show featuring the best of Atlanta’s comedians. On Thursday, January 19th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m, host Amy Brown and comedians Amanda Marks, Carlette Jennings and Paul Ollinger will deliver a healthy serving of non stop laughs. Seating is first come, first served, so guests are encouraged to arrive early to grab a craft cocktail and mingle with fellow comedy lovers. Beyond the signature drinks made with in-house spirits, mocktails from Distillery of Modern Art’s zero-proof menu are available for guests as well as snacks, cheese, charcuterie and sweets from The Spotted Trotter. Make this Valentine’s Day extra special and gift a hand written love letter. Come alone to learn how to write a letter in modern calligraphy or bring your lover with you as a cute Valentine’s Day activity.

In this class, you’ll learn the basic process of building letters in modern styles with guides, worksheets, and instruction. You’ll also receive a beginner kit of calligraphy materials including a pen holder, nibs, ink, and of course paper. During the last portion of class I’ll walk you through creating a layout for your letter and how to apply the skills you learned to a final piece.

No prior calligraphy experience is necessary. We’ll be covering how to use the materials as well as how to build letters, write words, and layout a final piece of calligraphy.

Destination shares the love with specials for the local community

Roses are red, violets are blue … The Battery Atlanta has things for the community to do! The lifestyle destination’s restaurants are dishing out a variety of flavors this February – from a seafood series to crave-worthy Cajun dishes to the must-have wine, cheese and chocolate for the holiday. Every Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Wellness Series: Yoga
