Atlanta Wine Festivals will host the Atlanta Winter Wine Festival at Guardian Works on Saturday, January 20, 2024.  We will have 2 Session: 12pm-4pm and 6pm-10pm. We will feature 50+ different wines, beers and White Claw to sample. Enjoy the awesome venue with Live Music outside, and beats by DJ Qtip inside. Each tickets includes a souvenir acrylic wine glass, entertainment, and all of your wine & beer samples. Food will cost extra.

GEORGIA FESTIVAL OF TREES TO KICK OFF CHRISTMAS IN ATLANTA WITH ANNUAL HOLIDAY EVENT

Atlanta Nonprofit Set To Host Annual, Eight-Day Festival At Georgia World Congress Center With Forest Of Holiday Trees For Auction, Live Entertainment And More

Georgia Festival of Trees will kick off the holiday season with an eight-day festival Saturday, Nov. 18-Sunday, Nov. 26 at the Georgia World Congress Center, featuring a dazzling display of Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces and nativities for auction, live music and entertainment, Christmas Brick Challenge, kids’ activities and games, boutique gift shops, food carts and more.

The festival boasts the title of Georgia’s largest holiday event but its impact reaches far beyond that. All proceeds from the event and holiday tree sales will benefit two local nonprofit organizations working to support survivors of human trafficking and end human trafficking: Street Grace and Atlanta Redemption Ink. The festival remains true to its mission: spreading holiday magic with a heart to end human trafficking.

“As a child, I remember eagerly waiting for the Festival of Trees, and it’s incredible to now look around and see families in my own community creating their own memories at the Georgia Festival of Trees,” said Georgia Festival of Trees Executive Director Angie Ulibarri. “While we’re bringing back many parts that our community loves, including the auction, children’s activities, pictures with Santa, the Christmas Lego Challenge and of course the beautiful trees, we’re excited to partner with two new nonprofits as we further our mission to end human trafficking.”

Each tree, wreath, centerpiece and nativity at the festival is designed, decorated and donated by individuals and organizations around the southeast, providing a variety of options for those looking to take home holiday decor. Trees and other decor are auctioned off both in-person and online during the festival.

The auction is the main driver to support this year’s beneficiaries: Street Grace and Atlanta Redemption Ink. Street Grace is a faith-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to eradicate the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC).

“We’re honored to be partnering with Georgia Festival of Trees,” Street Grace Director of Engagement Brooke Ruffin. “The issue of sex trafficking will not be eradicated unless we shine a light on it, and what better way to do that than a festival filled with Christmas lights! We’re humbled to be a beneficiary and are excited to join in on the festivities.”

The second beneficiary is local survivor-led nonprofit, Atlanta Redemption Ink (ARI), which focuses on transforming painful reminders of the past into symbols of hope. They offer tattoo removals, scar revision, and cover-ups to survivors of commercial sexual exploitation along with training from a lived experience lens and on tattoo iconography.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of Georgia Festival of Trees’ mission to create holiday magic with a bigger purpose: to end human trafficking,” said Jessica Lamb, founder of Atlanta Redemption Ink. “Our heart is to bring hope into difficult situations, and we couldn’t think of a better event to partner with this Christmas.”

Georgia Festival of Trees is sponsored by Elavon, Amerimed, Well Care, Ambetter Health, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, doTERRA and more. Tickets to the Georgia Festival of Trees start at $13.95 for children ages 3-12 and seniors ages 62 and up, and $18.95 for adults. Additionally, a wristband for the children’s activities can be purchased prior to arriving or for $9.95 on site. THE AVENUE WEST COBB HOSTS ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL

Celebrate the fall season with Halloween activities including trick-or-treating,

spooky zoo animals and more

The Avenue West Cobb, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is celebrating Halloween with their annual Fall Festival. The Fall Festival will be held on Tuesday, October 31 from 4 to 6 p.m.

“The Avenue West Cobb’s annual Fall Festival has become a Marietta community favorite over the years and we look forward to welcoming guests to the center to show off their costumes in celebration of Halloween,” said Taylor Campbell, marketing manager at The Avenue West Cobb. “This event will kick off our exciting lineup of holiday events through the rest of the year. We hope to see many community members come out to the Avenue to celebrate the holidays with us.”

The Marietta community is invited to walk around the Avenue for a family-friendly, fun and safe Halloween celebration. Fall Festival guests will have the opportunity to participate in store-to-store trick-or-treating and pick up delicious candy treats from their favorite tenants at The Avenue. 

In addition to trick-or-treating, other activities available for guests to enjoy include:

STONE MOUNTAIN PARK HOSTS 22ND ANNUAL NATIVE AMERICAN FESTIVAL AND POW WOW

The Native American Festival & Pow Wow begins Nov. 2 and runs through Nov. 5. With multiple tribes represented, the festival is considered the largest gathering of its kind in Georgia and a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society.

Held at the park’s Historic Square, visitors will experience the southeast’s premier Native American cultural festival through dance, music, interactive educational displays, authentic craft demonstrations, cooking traditions, storytelling, wildlife presentations, and more.

The event showcases cultural and educational activities for families to experience. Discover the central role of dance in native culture as Native Americans from across the U.S. and Central America compete in intertribal dance and drum competitions. Learn about primitive skills such as flint-knapping, bow-making, fire-starting, open-fire cooking, and pottery. Guests can explore an encampment showing the lifestyle of local and regional historic Native American cultures where they can crawl inside tipis and other traditional native dwellings.

The four-day festival also includes an artists’ marketplace where shoppers will find one-of-a-kind gift items. World-renowned Native and Native-inspired artists and crafters demonstrate their skills and offer hand-crafted items for sale.

Presented by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces, the Fall Festival on Ponce is returning to Olmsted Linear Park this Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8, 2023. The two-day festival will feature 125 displays of local and regional fine art and crafts along with folk and outsider art. Celebrating Rising Chefs in Atlanta

Friends and guests will celebrate Atlanta’s rising chefs and engage all five senses to raise funds for the James Beard Foundation®, when Sunday Supper South returns to Ponce City Market on Sunday, October 15. This year’s event will be hosted again by James Beard Award-winner Anne Quatrano, beloved Atlanta chef and owner of Bacchanalia, Star Provisions Market & Cafe, and W.H. Stiles Fish Camp. The chef lineup, below, will spotlight up-and-coming local chefs influencing the region’s ever-evolving dining scene, and their unique creations will reflect the best of the city’s cuisine in a collective harvest feast.

Festivities will begin at 5:30pm with a cocktail reception at Ponce City Market’s new residential building Signal House. The cocktail hour will highlight the beverage side of Atlanta’s dining experience with drinks from local industry vets and passed hors d’oeuvres. Following, guests will gather around festive tables at The Shed, Ponce City Market’s open-air gathering space alongside the Atlanta BeltLine, to enjoy an elevated, family-style, farm-to-table dinner showcasing the latest and greatest of Atlanta’s creative talents. Chefs will prepare seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms through Retaaza on Big Green Egg, the event’s official grilling partner and sponsor. Retaaza is a Georgia-based social enterprise that is on a mission to make local food more accessible and affordable by directly supporting communities’ farmers through food rescue and more, reconnecting the state’s consumers to their food, and feeding families struggling with food insecurity.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the James Beard Foundation, which celebrates and supports the people behind America’s food culture, while pushing for new standards in the restaurant industry to create a future where all have the opportunity to thrive. Through the mantra of Good Food for Good®, the organization is committed to providing chefs and other leaders in the food community with the support, tools, and resources they need to make our food culture more sustainable, equitable, and delicious for everyone.

This is the seventh year that Sunday Supper South will take place at Ponce City Market. Since first opening in 2015, Ponce City Market has been credited as a catalyst for revitalizing Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood.  Live! at The Battery – the entertainment destination located in the heart of The Battery Atlanta – announces its events lineup for October, November and December 2023, plus ongoing happenings like Freedom Friday and Silent Disco Saturday.

  • College Football & Professional Football Game Watch Parties – The thrills of football are back on the field and available to watch at all the venues right inside Live! at the Battery Atlanta with the ultimate football experience! From one of the biggest screens in the Southeast inside Sports and Social Atlanta to VIP booth experiences and Bull Riding inside of PBR, the liveliest atmosphere in all of Atlanta starts here. Fans can enjoy a huge selection of game day food like shareable nachos and mouth-watering burgers while enjoying Coors Light Bucket specials!

Potterheads are invited to don their finest robes representing their house or favorite character and be immersed in spellbinding ambiance, complete with flickering candles and mystical marvels.   • NFC Fight Night (Friday, Dec. 8, 7pm-midnight) – Live! at the Battery is hosting their second National Fighting Championship (NFC) event this winter. The adrenaline-filled night will feature live professional and amateur MMA and Muay Thai fights. Fight attendees will have the chance to be a part of the non-stop action during 12+ Fights in the NFC cage at one of the most exciting and new environments for watching live fights. Plus, there will be fan-favorite drinks and an official after party next door at PBR. The event will be 18 and up with certain areas being 21 and up. Tickets are available here.
  • Tinsel Tavern (Nov., 30 through Dec., 23, excluding select dates) – Live! at The Battery will once again be home to popular holiday pop-up bar Tinsel Tavern throughout the merriest time of year. Featuring an explosion of tinsel and twinkling lights, holiday-inspired cocktails and small bites, photo moments, themed nights and more, the whimsical experience is a can’t-miss holiday spot.   • NYE Live! Hollywood Nights (Sunday, Dec. 31, 8pm-2am) – Live! at the Battery is rolling out the red carpet and flashing lights for New Year’s Eve! Guests can be the star of the party with exclusive access to all the venues during this Hollywood Nights-themed event. Ticket packages include entertainment with live music, unforgettable photo-op moments and a midnight champagne toast featuring the Times Square Ball Drop on a 32-ft LED screen! Summer Roadshow Dinner Series Makes Final Stop of Season with German Food & Wine Pairing

The Wurst Beer Hallis collaborating with Poncey-Highland wine and spirits shop Elemental Spirits Co. Thursday, Sept. 28 for the final #HungryandCurious Summer Roadshow dinner of the season.

This special Oktoberfest dinner will be held on the restaurant’s communal outdoor patio, where guests can mingle under twinkling lights and sample three courses featuring platters of sausages, Patak bacon, pork shank, sauerkraut, spaetzle, pretzels, and more alongside four carefully curated German wine pairings. 

Some of the featured wines include Stein Blauschiefer Riesling Trocken and Ziereisen Blauer Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir).

Tickets are $95/person and include gratuity and all food and wine pairings.
