TAUK with The Orange Constant
October 23rd
Variety Playhouse
Listen to Chaos Companion in full, out everywhere now: smarturl.it/ChaosCompanion
Yesterday, HeavyBlogIsHeavy shared “New Age Trip,” a track that drummer Isaac Teel says is inspired by Sci-Fi movies and video games with a locomotive feel and tangible momentum.
“Dormammu,” another notable track from the album, merges TAUK’s organic sound with digitally composed EDM. Bassist Charles Dolan describes the unique fusion as, “a trap drum machine-meets-Led Zeppelin sound & beat, with builds and drops along the way. A danceable and anthemic journey accompanied by syncopated and soaring sounds of Eric Bloom (Trumpet) and Ryan Zoidis (Saxophone) of The Shady Horns (Lettuce, Soulive).”
Carter continues, “These songs are presented with a different approach where we used a lot more tracks and layers to create a more cinematic sound. A lot of our material has been live performance-based, but with this album, we used Ableton Live and digital audio workstations to expand our musical palette.”
Beyond sonically experimenting, the band broadened their approach visually with directors, Dani Barbieri and Sophia Conger to launch a new era of TAUK. With cinematic videos to match their fresh cinematic sound, the band found a new groove they are bringing to stages throughout the U.S.
Experience the brand new songs and favorites from the band’s back catalog this fall when TAUK tours around the Southern and Eastern U.S. The band recently announced a three-show October run through Missouri as well as a pair of New Years Eve shows in Charleston, SC. A full list of dates and corresponding support can be found on the band’s website and below.

Disturbed, Volbeat & Atreyu Added To Louder Than Life,
September 23-26, 2021 In Louisville, KY
Slipknot, A Day To Remember & Gojira Added To
Welcome To Rockville, November 11-14, 2021 in Daytona Beach, FL
Tickets On Sale Now, Including New 2021 And 2022 Layaway Options For Both Festivals
Danny Wimmer Presents has announced lineup additions to two of its fall festivals. For Louder Than Life, rock heavyweights Disturbed, Volbeat and Atreyu will now appear at the festival, scheduled for September 23-26, 2021 at the Highland Festival Grounds At KY Expo Center. And Welcome To Rockville welcomes Slipknot, A Day To Remember and Gojira for the massive four-day event, November 11-14, 2021 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The changes come after previous headliners Nine Inch Nails and Deftones canceled all 2021 tour dates and the DWP team worked around the clock to secure new acts for fans.
“I want to say a massive thank you to Slipknot, Disturbed, A Day To Remember, Volbeat, Gojira and Atreyu for immediately stepping in when we called them last week on such short notice. The last few weeks have been a wild ride, but these bands made it clear how much they want to be out there playing for their fans and will be ready to take the stage. We also talked to Metallica last week, who have confirmed their excitement to play our festivals in September, October and November. The road is going to be bumpy, but the team at DWP is undeterred and will continue to adapt to any road blocks. We are committed to putting on the rock reunion(s) we’ve all been waiting for. Keep On Keeping On,” says Danny Wimmer Presents founder Danny Wimmer.
“Disturbed cannot wait to get back at it. We are beyond excited to share the stage with the legends and friends Metallica, Judas Priest, Volbeat, Mudvayne, Korn and so many others at next month’s Louder Than Life. See ya in Kentucky,” adds Disturbed.
And A Day To Remember says, “I can’t wait to play Rockville this year! It will be the first time in A Day To Remember’s career to play Daytona. This line up is not going to be one you will want to miss. So many amazing bands!“
Tickets for both events are on sale now at https://louderthanlifefestival.com/ and https://welcometorockvillefestival.com/.

Mable House Barnes Amphitheater
Remember When Rock Was Young: The Elton John Tribute
Following the shut-down of its venue due to the pandemic, the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre will once again be hosting LIVE music beginning July 10 at 8pm! Their premiere concert is the internationally touring show Remember When Rock Was Young-The Elton John Tribute. That they are an Atlanta based show only adds to the feeling of coming home to live performances.
The show stars the multi-talented singer/pianist/actor/creator Craig A Meyer and features the incredible Rocket Band! When asked what it felt like to be facing a hometown audience, Meyer replied, “Atlanta has the best audiences and we are honored they chose us to reopen the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre. We have a long history with the MHBA and we could not be more pleased.”
Tickets are available on Ticketmaster here.
The spectacular outdoor venue regularly holds 2500 but will have reduced capacity of 1300 for these first performances. Limited tables are available. The venue has food vendors on site, but also allows guests to bring their own food and drinks. Gates will open approximately 90 minutes prior to the concert.
