Farewell, Feed Me Lino — Friday, September 13, 2024 from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Chef Lino Yi, formerly known for his Korean-American pop-up TKO and now recognized for the FML pop-up, is heading to the West Coast, and Sweet Auburn is sending him off with a proper celebration. Staying open late, the Poncey-Highland haunt will be serving up Chef Lino’s Kimchi Stew alongside a 6-wing basket and fries for $15, Soju Jell-O shots, and more, all available until 1:30 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024.

UGA vs. Kentucky Watch Party — Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, September 14th, Sweet Auburn has an evening chalked full of events. Can’t be in Lexington to cheer on the Dawgs? Call the Dawgs with fellow UGA fans at UGA alumni-owned Sweet Auburn for a watch party as the Bulldogs face off against the Kentucky Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. The Saturday In Athens Podcast will host a pregame show starting at 6:30 p.m., with game poster giveaways, raffles, and a variety of food and drink options to enjoy throughout the night.

Get Gaming with Cartridge ATL — Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. For those looking to keep the fun going on Saturday, Cartridge ATL is popping up with gaming systems in tow. Gaming enthusiasts can face off in the featured game of the night, Tekken 8, with free play on all stations and specialty giveaways. Music by Doctor Bae, Wulfgang Fist, Nonamegiven, and Allen Thomas will keep the vibe going while the team serves up drinks until 1:30 a.m.


Bake the Most of Fall at Sweet Auburn’s Asian Bake Sale —Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sweet Auburn Barbecue is known for its strong commitment to supporting Asian-owned businesses in the Atlanta community and beyond. Continuing this tradition, the Poncey-Highland barbecue spot, co-owned by restauranteurs Anita and Howard Hsu, is hosting an Asian Bake Sale on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event will offer an opportunity to sample and purchase a wide selection of delicious baked goods from some of Atlanta’s beloved bakeries and small businesses. Vendors for the special event include  Sweet Auburn BBQBaoliciousCrinkles by Nina and Leftie Lee. Guests will have the opportunity to savor a variety of exquisite menu items such as Breakfast Baos, Ube Croissants, Thai Tea Creme Brulee, Matcha Brownies, Ube Krinkles, Cassava Cake, and many more. Offering a unique chance to explore and enjoy a wide assortment of sweet treats crafted by talented local bakers, the bake sale will take place at Sweet Auburn and is free to attend. 

BBQ Meets Bold South Asian Flavors at Sweet Auburn Pop-up Event — Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 5 p.m. On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Sweet Auburn Barbecue, Dhaba BBQMinhwa Spirits and Chai Box will come together for a South Asian pop-up event. Chef Jay Patel of Dhaba BBQ will bring a creative twist to classic BBQ favorites, featuring dishes like Lemon Pepper Masala Wings, Tandoori Chicken Sandos and Tikka Lamb Chops. For those looking for vegetarian options, fear not— the Bombay Masala Impossible Sammies, Street Fries with Dhaba Dust and Mac n’ Curry offer flavorful options and additions. Alongside this special menu, a curated drink selection will be available, featuring cocktails made with Minhwa Spirits gin and Chai Box chai blends. Sweet Auburn’s full menu of Asian-inspired barbecue will be available. The fun begins at 5 p.m. with no tickets or reservations required— arrive early to avoid the wait.

Forsyth County’s premier mixed-use village invites the community to play, shop, dine and experience what’s new

Head to Halcyon in September for an exciting line-up of events. Kick off the month enjoying live music every weekend by local bands at Groovin’ on the Green and the Fall Sunday Music Series; get your sweat on with fan-favorite Farm Animal Yoga; celebrate grandparents at Grandparents Day at Halcyon; get competitive at Family Bingo and have fun with your dog at Doodle Dog Day.

Groovin’ on the Green

Fridays and Saturdays in September from 6 – 9 p.m.

Celebrate the weekend by dancing and singing along to live musical performances on the Village Green. Enjoy local bands across a variety of genres playing top hits. On the last Saturday of each month, Cherry Street Brewpub will host live music on its patio adjacent to the Village Green. Guests can treat themselves to a craft brew and groove to live music playing all around the village! Halcyon has an open container policy, however outside food or beverages are prohibited. Fall Sunday Music Series

Sundays in September from 1-4 p.m.

Sunday afternoons at Halcyon just got better! Relax on the green with your favorite drink and listen to great music every Sunday this fall from 1-4 p.m. Follow Halcyon on Instagram and Facebook to know who will be performing each Sunday. For more information, visit the Halcyon Facebook event page.

Family Bingo

Sundays in September from 4-6 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for Family Bingo every Sunday from 4- 6 p.m. outside of the Market Hall. This event is free, and you’ll have a chance to win small gift cards from our retailers and restaurants. All ages are invited to attend.

While outside food or drink is strictly prohibited, dining is available at one of Halcyon’s Market Hall or full-service restaurants before, during or after bingo. Halcyon highly recommends pre-registering. If the event is full, you may stop by around 4 p.m. to see if walk-ups are available. Halcyon posts the link each Tuesday for the following Sunday. Halcyon Kids Club

Wednesdays through October from 10 a.m. – noon

Preschoolers are invited to play and make new friends at Halcyon’s free Kids Club! Enjoy rotating activities each week ranging from arts and crafts, dance, animal encounters, story time, puppet shows, music and so much more. Themes and activities vary each week and will be announced on Halcyon’s Facebook page and Instagram stories. A parent or guardian is required to stay with each child during the event. Grandparents Day at Halcyon

Saturday, September 8 from 12-3 p.m.

Spend the day celebrating your favorite people (grandparents!) at Halcyon. Families can enjoy live music on the Green from The T Tones, food and drink specials and kids crafts. There will also be opportunities to capture memories at Birdie’s photo booth, meet adorable, adoptable dogs from Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelter, shop at the flower pop-up by Ruthie’s Flowers and much more. Farm Animal Yoga

Saturday, September 14 at 10 and 11 a.m.

Mooove on over to Halcyon for Farm Animal Yoga, featuring live animals from North Georgia Wildlife Park! Treat your mind and body to a relaxing session of yoga appropriate for all skill levels, accompanied by adorable furry friends. Participants must bring their own yoga mat and are welcome to pause and take photos with the animals during the session. Cherry Street’s 5 Year Anniversary on the Green

Saturday, September 21 from 4-10 p.m.

Join Cherry Street Brewpub for its 5-year anniversary celebration on the Halcyon Green. There will be live music kicking off with Magnolia Express from 4-6:30 p.m., followed by The Fixins from 7-10 p.m.

Guests can enjoy an evening filled with fun, including local vendors, kids’ activities, a hair tinsel station, face painting, cotton candy art, a treat cart by It’s a Sweet Life Bakery and food and beer stations to keep you refreshed all night long.

Cherry Street will also be releasing three special barrel-aged beers, including a Wild Turkey Barrel-Aged Barleywine,  a Blackberry Brandy Barrel-Aged Barleywine and a re-release of the gold medal-winning Grease Monkey Banana Barrel-Aged Barleywine. Doodle Dog Day

In celebration of International Doodle Dog Day, Halcyon is hosting its biggest dog PAW-ty of the year! Halcyon invites doodles, other furry friends and their humans for an afternoon of dog-loving fun.

Check in at the Halcyon tent in the Village Green to pick up your free Halcyon dog swag and a schedule of events including a pooch parade with prizes, doggy samples and treats, doggy vendors and free dog caricatures. Guests can enjoy all of our dog-friendly restaurant patios, dine on the doggy menu at Cherry Street Brewpub, visit our dog-friendly shops for special treats, meet adoptable pups from FurKids Animal Rescue and Shelter and take a walk on the Big Creek Greenway adjacent to Halcyon. As summer comes to an end and September begins, swing into the new season with a variety of exciting events happening at The Works. Bring your four-legged friends for the 4th annual PUPFEST celebration on Sept. 7 at The Camp, featuring DJ Steve, exciting giveaways, specials, pup-friendly vendors and so much more. Later in the month, join Taqueria del Sol and Fox Bros. Fall Festivities and Seasonal Fun Slated for The Battery Atlanta this September


Atlanta’s prime entertainment destination hosting 5K races, Girls Night Out, an assortment of live shows and much more!

The Battery Atlanta is ushering in the fall season with a series of engaging activities. Guests will enjoy the autumn weather with Yoga by Kaiser Permanente and shop farm fresh local produce at the Farmers Market. There is a full lineup of performers at Coca Cola Roxy, including Danna Paola and Daniel Caesar. Park Bench postgame events keep visitors entertained all month long with DJs, Karaoke and special performances. The Battery Atlanta will also welcome participants for RaceTrac’s Run for Research 5K and the St. Jude Walk/Run 5K to support a cause. Additionally, every Thursday, attendees can indulge in a Girls Night Out at Blue Moon Beer Garden, presented by Live! at The Battery Atlanta.

Forsyth County’s mixed-use village invites the community to play, shop, dine and experience what’s new

Cooler temperatures will be here soon and Halcyon has planned an exciting September events lineup to celebrate! Kick off the month dancing under the stars at Groovin’ on the Green or savor in spicy cuisine paired with award-winning craft beers at Cherry Street Brewpub’s Pepperfest. Families can bring their little ones to partake in the engaging and educational Halcyon Kids Club sessions held weekly. As International Doodle Day approaches, get ready for Halcyon’s biggest PAW-ty of the year. Finally, conclude the month with the highly anticipated annual Oktoberfest festivities.
