Community members are invited to tap into their summer spirit by attending activities including a Scrabble Scramble Fun Run, Unity Fest, Backyard Bash Movie Night, a yoga class and more

The Avenue Peachtree City is proud to announce Summer Vibes, a dynamic series of events to bring the community together throughout the season. From June 7 until July 27, Summer Vibes will turn the lifestyle center into an energetic destination filled with fun, safe and engaging summer activities.

“We’re excited to launch our Summer Vibes campaign and invite everyone to soak up the sun, connect, and have a great time,” said Kelly Lawrence, marketing manager of The Avenue Peachtree City. “With activities for all ages and unique summer experiences, we aim to create a safe and vibrant environment for the community to gather, enjoy special moments and embrace the energy of the summer season.”

Summer Vibes will feature a wide variety of fun activities for people of all ages, including:

The Scrabble Scramble Fun Run – Sat., June 7

Celebrate Global Running Day during the Scrabble Scramble Fun Run event at 8:30 a.m. in partnership with Fleet Feet. Get ready for a unique twist on your typical group run! Starting at Fleet Feet, guests will have 30 minutes to run a ~1-mile loop around The Avenue Peachtree City to collect Scrabble letter tiles. Once the clock runs out, participants will have 10 minutes to spell their way to victory by competing in one of two categories:

• Most Words Created
• Highest Single Word Score

The Scrabble Scramble Fun Run is free to register, with registration open until Saturday, June 7 at 8:00 a.m. Guests will also enjoy a block party with refreshments and fun.

No Bad Days When You’re a Blood Donor – Wed., June 18

Help save lives in the community during the No Bad Days When You’re a Blood Donor event from noon to 5:00 p.m. The LifeSouth bloodmobile will be on-site in the roundabout at Central Park. All donors will receive a free LifeSouth “No Bad Days” t-shirt, and platelet and double red donors will also receive a $40 e-gift card. Walk-ins are welcome or make an appointment in advance.

International Yoga Day – Sat., June 21

In celebration of International Yoga Day, join the center for a yoga class from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in Central Park for a morning of movement, mindfulness and community with lululemon ambassador Chandra Fowler. Participants will enjoy giveaways, refreshments, and an exclusive shopping experience at lululemon. Attendees must register for the event.

Unity Fest – Sat., July 20

The Avenue Peachtree City and The Venus Kings presents the Unity Fest, a day full of rhythm, soul, good vibes, and a celebration of the music that moves and brings the community together! From 4:00 to 10:00 p.m., guests will enjoy talent from various genres including:

• Reggae: The Natti Love Joys
• Rock: Red and the Revelers
• Blues: Frankie’s Blues Mission
• Jazz: The Nikko Yamada Quartet
• Funk: The Venus Kings, featuring special guests Ari Battiste and Bill Wolski

The fest will also feature delicious bites, art and kid-friendly activities throughout the day. Guests can grab a VIP table with all proceeds to benefit The Otis Redding Foundation and MOJO Health, two incredible organizations doing vital work in local communities. Tickets to the fest are free and available.

Backyard Bash Movie Night – Fri., July 25

Summer’s heating up, and so is the fun at The Avenue’s Backyard Bash at 7:30 p.m. in Central Park. The bash will feature cool treats, kid-friendly entertainment, and a movie under the stars. Guests can enjoy the ultimate summer sizzle by bringing their own blankets and lawn chairs to make the most of a warm summer night filled with fun, laughter and a little movie magic!
