The Battery Atlanta is turning up the summer energy this July with a full calendar of wellness, family programming, game-day experiences and live entertainment. Guests can stretch, breathe and reset with Yoga Presented by Kaiser Permanente, browse fresh finds at the Farmers Market Presented by Kaiser Permanente and gather on the Plaza Green for soccer watch parties, a themed movie night and the Wellstar Family Series. The month also brings Pokémon GO Fest, Watch PAWty Presented by Boehringer Ingelheim, Back-To-School Cobb and a destination-wide mix of dining, nightlife and Coca-Cola Roxy performances. Whether planning a family outing, a wellness reset or a summer night out, guests will find plenty of reasons to spend July at The Battery Atlanta.

From Pitch to Screen: Family Movie Night

Thursday, July 16;  5-7 p.m., activities and movie start at 7 p.m.

Soccer excitement takes over the Plaza Green with a special outdoor screening of “Kicking and Screaming” at The Battery Atlanta. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or towels for lawn seating, settle in under the summer sky and enjoy a family-friendly movie night inspired by the world’s game. After surpassing one billion streams, scoring two #1 singles and building a global fanbase before ever releasing a full-length album, Myles Smith finally delivers his debut LP, My Mess, My Heart, My Life., out today via Sony Music UK/RCA Records. Get it HERE.

His first complete body of work arrives after a run of milestones that would be remarkable for an artist at any stage of their career. His beloved hit song “Stargazing” became the biggest song by a U.K. artist worldwide in 2024, skyrocketing his career and introducing his music to audiences around the world. “Nice To Meet You” made Smith the first male solo artist to reach #1 at both Alternative and Top 40 radio with his first two singles. My Mess, My Heart, My Life. is the album that completes the story.

Known for emotionally direct songwriting and a rich vocal delivery, Smith has built his following by turning personal experiences into songs that connect far beyond their origins. For his debut album, he took that approach even further, returning to his own therapy notes from 2017 to 2022 and mining five years of his life as the raw material for the songs. The result is a record that explores emotional chaos, vulnerability and the sense of release that comes with confronting life head-on, unfolding across three interconnected worlds: Mess, Heart, and Life.

The album’s latest single, “Hold Me In The Dark,” landed in May—listen here. The track has now spent more than two weeks at #8 in the UK APC, and Smith has five songs currently in the Airplay Top 100.

The record also features several of Smith’s most recognized recent hits, including “Stargazing,” “Nice To Meet You,” the reflective duet with Niall Horan “Drive Safe,” the uplifting anthem “Gold,” and the euphoric “Stay (If You Wanna Dance).”

“This album is the most honest thing I’ve ever made,” says Smith. “The title really says it all—it’s about the mess, the heart and the life that sits around it. Smith songs come from moments I never thought I’d share. Nights that felt endless, mornings that felt like starting over, memories that will always stay with me.”

Smith will support the album with his biggest headline tour to date across North America, Europe and the UK. With multiple UK arena dates already nearly sold out, the run will culminate in a landmark London show at The O2. FREE SUMMER FAMILY FUN ARRIVES AT THE BATTERY ATLANTA WITH WELLSTAR FAMILY SERIES

The Battery Atlanta™ Announces Summer Wellstar Family Series with Free Programming and

 Hands-On Activities

Free series brings hands-on learning, wellness activities, sports clinics and family fun
to the Plaza Green all summer long

Families can make the most of summer at The Battery Atlanta as the Wellstar Family Series returns with 22 free interactive events designed to keep children active, engaged and entertained throughout June and July.

Taking place on select weekdays from June 2 through July 30, the Wellstar Family Series features a lineup of kid-friendly programming including hands-on science experiments, STEAM-based building challenges, sports clinics, obstacle courses and special appearances from Atlanta Braves mascot BLOOPER.

“Creating opportunities for families to connect through active, engaging programming is an important part of the experience at The Battery Atlanta,” said Lauren Abernathy, Vice President of Marketing for Braves Development Company. “From hands-on learning opportunities and outdoor activities to wellness-focused experiences, the Wellstar Family Series creates memorable moments for children of all ages.”

Featured Wellstar activations include Teddy Bear Clinic experiences on June 3 and July 8, where children are invited to bring their favorite plush friend for a healthcare check-up complete with X-rays, bandages and wellness education led by Wellstar Children’s of Georgia. The family-friendly experience helps children become more comfortable with healthcare environments through imaginative play, while additional activity stations featuring fitness, coloring and appearances by Dr. WellBee add to the fun.

Wellstar will also host Small Bites Adventure Club events on June 17 and July 22 in partnership with Wellstar Children’s of Georgia. During the interactive cooking classes, children ages 4-12 will make salsa fresca while learning safe knife skills and healthy eating habits in a hands-on environment. Participants will receive recipe cards and stickers, and walk-up registration will be available as space permits.

Annual traditions return with magical moments for the whole family, capped by the New Year’s Eve Bash at Cobb County’s premier entertainment destination

The Battery Atlanta will once again dazzle visitors as it transforms into a festive wonderland for its fan-favorite Holidays at The Battery Atlanta presented by Wellstar. The season’s celebrations begin with the Tree Lighting ceremony presented by Wellstar, continue with the Santa’s Post Office presented by Truist tradition and culminate in the New Year’s Eve Bash presented by Xfinity, ringing in 2026 in unforgettable style.

“The holidays at The Battery Atlanta have truly become a centerpiece of the season for so many Atlanta families,” said Lauren Abernethy, Vice President of Marketing. “It’s where our community comes together year after year to celebrate, connect and create traditions that make this time of year so meaningful.”

The festivities kick off Saturday, Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m. with the annual Tree Lighting at the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage. Guests will be treated to live entertainment, appearances by BLOOPER and emcee Mark Owens and a countdown to Santa’s grand arrival. Following the ceremony, families can snuggle up on the Plaza Green for a screening of “Rise of the Guardians” as part of the Xfinity Movie Series.

Santa Claus is once again setting up shop at his Post Office in The Battery Atlanta! From Saturday, Nov. 22 to Wednesday, Dec. 24, Santa will continue the time-honored tradition of greeting local children and families in the Truist Community Corner, located at the corner of Power Alley and Battery Avenue. Families are invited to bring their handwritten letters to Santa – postage not required – at his official Atlanta outpost. Santa’s helpers will take care of the rest! This free opportunity allows parents and guardians to take their own photos of their children interacting with Santa as he listens to their wish lists.

The Truist Community Corner will also house a Holiday Market on Sunday, Dec. 7, featuring a shoppable collection of Atlanta-area small businesses. Additional activities include photo ops, giveaways, a free gift wrap station and other family-friendly activities. Later, Kids’ Holiday Market takes over from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21. Presented in partnership with the Children’s Entrepreneur Market, this one-of-a-kind experience highlights young entrepreneurs selling handmade gifts, treats and holiday treasures.

The season reaches its grand finale with Atlanta’s favorite year-end celebration, the New Year’s Eve Bash, on Wednesday, Dec. 31. The Early Innings celebration begins at 6 p.m. with family-friendly entertainment and features an early innings countdown at 8 p.m., with inflatable baseballs handed out throughout the night. The Late Innings festivities start at 9 p.m. with live music from A-Town A-List on the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage, leading into a thrilling midnight countdown featuring pyrotechnics, fireworks and confetti to welcome 2026.

he Battery Atlanta’s Annual Xfinity Movie Series Returns Beginning Oct. 3

Cobb County’s top entertainment spot invites families and friends to enjoy weekly movie screenings through Nov. 29

A seasonal favorite is back as The Battery Atlanta will again present its popular Xfinity Movie Series. From Oct. 3 – Nov. 29 at 7 p.m., guests can enjoy a lineup of family favorites and new releases, including How to Train Your Dragon (2025), Migration, Peter Pan (2003), Wicked, Field of Dreams, Jumanji (1995) and Rise of the Guardians. New this year, the series will feature deals from participating restaurants in The Battery Atlanta including Antico, Battle & Brew, Walk-On’s, Blue Moon, Yard House and Live! at The Battery Atlanta. Expect discounts on pizza, sliders, wraps, gaming, themed menus and to-go orders by mentioning the movie series at checkout. The Omni Hotel will set up a candy station to purchase treats and Delaware North will have a bar. For all showings, which are presented on the Plaza Green, attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair for a fun-filled night on the plaza.
