4TH ANNUAL PICNIC IN THE PARK

Event to feature picnic baskets curated by local chefs as well as live music and family-friendly activities

On May 5th, some of Atlanta’s favorite chefs and restaurants will fill the picnic baskets for Wholesome Wave Georgia’s (WWG) 4th annual Picnic in the Park. Guests will receive a blanket and a picnic basket with a chef-crafted lunch from top local restaurants like One Flew South, Chicken+Beer, Little Tart Bakeshop, and more. Guests will also enjoy adult drinks, live music, farm booths, t-shirt tie-dying, lawn games, and more against the beautiful backdrop of Atlanta’s Adair Park I.

Tickets are $40 for a two-person picnic basket and $75 for a four-person basket. Adult drinks will be available for purchase in advance at $5 per drink. All proceeds will benefit the 10th anniversary of Wholesome Wave Georgia.

“The vision behind Picnic in the Park is to bring together a diverse group of community members to celebrate the work happening across our state to create access to healthy, local food for all,” says President and CEO Denise Blake. “We’re excited to bring together farmers, farmers market staff, and community organizations, offering a unique opportunity for everyone to connect and develop new friendships.”

PARK TAVERN EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA 2019

Easter Brunch, Annual Easter Egg Hunt, and Easter Bunny Pictures at Park Tavern at Piedmont Park

A sold out traditional every year, on Sunday April 21, 2019, Park Tavern will host its next rendition of Easter brunch on its expansive patio overlooking picturesque Piedmont Park and the Midtown skyline. Ideal for both adults and children, guests are invited to enjoy an exuberant brunch boasting interactive stations including a Biscuit Bar serving flaky buttermilk biscuits with fried chicken, chef-attended omelet and carving stations, and a French toast and Belgian waffle station with the works.  Brunch goers will also be treated to a mouthwatering buffet featuring Eggs Benedict with candied bacon, blackened salmon over warm quinoa salad, Applewood smoked bacon, sausage, garlic green beans, asparagus salad with toasted walnuts and goat cheese, pastries, a dessert bar, and more.

An annual favorite, a special appearance by the Easter Bunny will also take place at 12 p.m., which will kick off Park Tavern’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Guests are invited to bring their cameras and take pictures with the Easter Bunny for free. New to this year, imbibers can enjoy endless champagne and mimosa offerings from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. during Park Tavern’s VIP Champagne & Mimosa Easter Brunch experience. General Admission is $34.95 for adults, $14.95 for kids ages 7 to 12, and kids 6, and under are free. VIP Admission is $44.95. The Taproom Concert Series is a craft brewery pop-up held in partnership with Heritage Sandy Springs’ Outdoor Concert Series – “Concerts by the Springs”. We’re teaming up with a different craft brewery each month to bring their taproom tasting experience TO the concert. Tickets range from $10-$15 and can be purchased here.

Odds are in your favor for a festive afternoon on Saturday, May 4 when Livingston Restaurant + Bar in The Georgia Terrace Hotel goes the distance for its 4th annual Kentucky Derby Viewing Party. Along with watching the most exciting two minutes in sports, partygoers will sip on Derby-themed cocktails, enjoy passed appetizers, try their luck at raffles and contests, and rock to music from DJ Yvonne Monet.

PARK TAVERN PRESENTS ITS INAUGURAL ‘DOG’WOOD BRUNCHFEST

Atlanta, Georgia – Art enthusiasts, brunch lovers and their furry, four legged, friends are invited to the first ever DOGwood Brunchfest at Park Tavern in Piedmont Park on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Located in the heart of Midtown on the Atlanta BeltLine, the two-day event will feature an artist market with local artisans and crafters, including Billie Hillard, Maria Bruckman Art, Camille and Company, Ojen Atlanta, Daniel Curran, WeezieArt, Decorfiftyfive and more.

Hungry shoppers can purchase Brunch Bite Tickets for $7, which include access to a Krispy Kreme Donuts station featuring a fully loaded topping bar with whipped cream, strawberries, and chocolate; hearty breakfast bowls filled to the brim with scrambled cheese eggs, bacon, tomatoes and avocado on a bed of tater tots; chicken and waffles; Park Tavern’s signature raw oysters; and much more.
