Atlantic Station has a variety of events planned throughout February that are sure to warm your heart. Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit as Atlantic Station continues to honor the Lunar New Year with a spectacular display of Lunar New Year decor and traditions along with a magnificent fire breathing dragon. Treat your taste buds to one of the many flavorful food and beverage festivals happening throughout the month in the Pinnacle Lot, such as the Atlanta Oyster Festival, the Atlanta Winter Beer Festival and the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival. Gypsy Kitchen transports guests to the Mediterranean for a culinary adventure this Valentine’s Day. Love is making the rounds at The Blind Cupid, the Valentine’s pop-up bar at The Blind Pig Parlour Bar.  Hopeless romantics and the lovelorn alike will go wild for this popular experience that brings Valentine’s Day-themed sizzle with a menu of festive drinks, decadent menu snacks and over-the-top pink and floral décor. The Blind Cupid will be open for a brief fling beginning Jan. 20 through the end of February. Livingston Restaurant + Bar, the Atlanta dining institution located inside the historic Georgian Terrace hotel, spreads the Valentine’s Day love over three evenings, Feb. 10 and 11 from 5-11 p.m. and Feb. 14 from 5-10 p.m. Executive chef Steven Meese has planned a prix fixe menu showcasing a mixture of local and European influences. Make this Valentine’s Day extra special and gift a hand written love letter. Come alone to learn how to write a letter in modern calligraphy or bring your lover with you as a cute Valentine’s Day activity.

In this class, you’ll learn the basic process of building letters in modern styles with guides, worksheets, and instruction. You’ll also receive a beginner kit of calligraphy materials including a pen holder, nibs, ink, and of course paper. During the last portion of class I’ll walk you through creating a layout for your letter and how to apply the skills you learned to a final piece.

No prior calligraphy experience is necessary. We’ll be covering how to use the materials as well as how to build letters, write words, and layout a final piece of calligraphy.
