The Annual Fashion Fundraising Event Celebrates Its 11th Year of Pairing Canines and Couture to Benefit Canine Assistants

Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Greenberg Traurig Office at Terminus 200 in Buckhead, Atlanta

Atlanta, Georgia – Doggies on the Catwalk returns this year for its biggest show to date. Celebrating 11 years of philanthropic success, Doggies on the Catwalk’s founder and notable Atlanta personality E. Vincent Martinez is thrilled to take this year’s event to the next level – 25 levels to be exact.  Moving the annual affair to Greenberg Traurig’s Atlanta office at Terminus 200 in the heart of Buckhead, attendees are invited to experience a crowd-pleasing runway lineup that includes adorable pups, local personalities and coveted luxury brands.  An unforgettable evening of fashion, fun and philanthropy, Doggies on the Catwalk will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 7 p.m. and benefits Canine Assistants, a non-profit organization which educates and provides service dogs for children and adults with physical disabilities or other special needs.

“In addition to raising much-needed funds for Canine Assistants, it’s also our mission to raise awareness about the organization and these incredible dogs that not only provide loyal companionship, but help those in need with essential everyday tasks – from turning lights on and off and opening and closing doors – to pulling wheelchairs, retrieving dropped objects and summoning help,” says Martinez. “We also simply cannot wait for patrons to see our new location, that will provide a more intimate and elevated experience and absolutely stunning views of the city. This year’s event promises to be our best yet.”

Emceed by beloved media icon Monica Pearson, the event will feature a cocktail reception and a high-energy runway show featuring the season’s most sought after looks from top designers and brands found at SAKS Fifth Avenue such as Gucci, Prada, Givenchy, Saint Laurent and much more.  And for the first time, patrons can take advantage of three ticketing options, which includes Pedigree, Top Dog and Good Dog packages:

THE ATLANTA BEER BUS LAUNCHES HOP-ON AND HOP-OFF

BREWERY SHUTTLE SERVICE

Continuous Loop Party Buses Drop-Off and Pick-Up Beer Enthusiasts at Atlanta’s Hottest Breweries

Atlanta, Georgia – The Atlanta Beer Bus, a HOP-on/HOP-off shuttle service that transports beer enthusiasts between Atlanta’s finest breweries, has officially launched.  Offering wallet-friendly entertainment for just $15 per person, riders receive unlimited access to the Atlanta Beer Bus shuttles that travel along a continuous loop where they create their own brewery adventure – staying as long or as little as they like at any location every Friday through Sunday.

Offering safe and reliable transport to Atlanta’s best breweries, cideries and distilleries, each bus is equipped with comfortable, heated/air conditioned group seating, great music, and friendly and knowledgeable drivers.  Imbibers also have the opportunity to dive into the history of Atlanta’s breweries with the help of the Atlanta Beer Bus Beer Nerds, a group of beer-loving experts with deep homegrown roots and knowledge of all things Atlanta – from the city’s institutions to off-the-beaten path adventures.

With a love for craft beer and a wealth of experience in both the banking and hospitality industries, the Atlanta Beer Bus was founded by Travis Irions during a trip to Asheville, NC.

“I was inspired by how ingrained the breweries were in the local community and immediately wanted to recreate a similar experience in the Atlanta market,” says Irions.  “Atlanta’s craft beer community is devoted, passionate, and there’s an undeniable sense of comradery.  I could not be more excited to launch a no-fuss and affordable shuttle service that helps to showcase the tremendous talent and unique brewery destinations our city has to offer.”

Leading the festivities each weekend, Atlanta Beer Bus stops include:  Monday Night Brewing in West Midtown, Urban Tree Cidery, Second Self Beer Company, Scofflaw Brewing Co., Red Brick Brewing Company, ASW Distillery, SweetWater Brewing Company, Orpheus Brewing, Park Tavern, and the Midtown MARTA Station.  Routes vary depending on breweries opening and closing times.  For detailed information about the routes, visit atlantabeerbus.com.

Showcasing the musical talents of Atlanta’s own Lilac Wine on Wednesday and Fridays and Melissa Bret on Thursdays, diners, and imbibers can savor mouth-watering culinary creations and signature libations as they take in a sweet and soulful musical recipe. When the weather doesn’t permit, Lilac Wine, comprised of Alexandrea Lushington on lead vocals, Grant Reynolds on guitar and Robert Henson on bass, and solo artist Melissa Bret will move inside to Atlas’ comfortably elegant lounge – best known as the Tavern at Atlas.

While taking in live music, diners can enjoy an array handcrafted summer cocktails and delicious bites created by Executive Chef Christopher Grossman, and if that isn’t enough, Atlas also now serves premium liquor flights, packaged perfectly to provide imbibing guests a fun, creative tasting experience. Ideal for those that want to drink their dessert, guests will receive a 1/2 ounce sampling of each spirit (1 ounce doubles are also available) in an elegant, stemmed spirit glass.  Enough to taste, savor and contemplate the spirits, Atlas offers: Whiskey and Rye, Silver Tequilas, Aged Tequilas, Scotch, Japanese Single Malts, Cognacs, Amaro, and Liqueur flights. With over 13 different flights listed on the menu, guests also have the opportunity to have an Atlas sommelier customize a flight based upon preferences and level of adventurousness.

Atlas celebrates the very best in seasonal American cuisine combined with European influences. With a focus on curating fresh ingredients from local farms, the chef-driven, dinner-only restaurant brings an unparalleled culinary experience to the Capital of the South. For more information, visit atlasrestaurant.com.
