Atlanta Fermentation Festival 2018

About: In conjunction with the grand opening of Cultured South, the company will host the 2nd annual Atlanta Fermentation Fest on Sunday, May 20th from noon to 6pm at Lee + White. The festival was created last year to grow awareness about fermentation and educate the community about the history and health benefits of traditional fermented foods. Attendees can expect fermented products from around two dozen local and regional producers, educational science demonstrations, seasonal kombucha on tap, kombucha mocktails, live music and much more. At-home fermentation pros are encouraged to bring their own cultures for a ‘culture swap,’ and all guests can enjoy bites from food truck Alkaline Junkie––a mobile wellness cafe, and other fermented foods and drinks including chocolate, coffee, vegan cheeses, beer, cider, honey, sourdough crackers and breads, and more. Tickets are $10 to $35.
