Produced by Gourmet Foods International to Help Educate Atlanta’s Cheese Lovers

ATLANTA: Tickets for The Cheese Fest 2018 are officially on sale! The farmer’s market-style festival is in its sixth year. The annual event brings together small food producers from around the globe along with South-east consumers at one venue—Historic Fourth Ward Park. Atlanta was recently named one of the South’s best food cities by Southern Living, propelling culinary interest in our charming city. The Cheese Fest now attracts close to 3,000 attendees. The tremendous growth of the event has sparked the festival team to craft several new experiences and a larger-sized festival, overall. Annual nonprofit recipient, Giving Kitchen, will receive a portion of all proceeds from the event. Giving Kitchen is a nonprofit providing emergency assistance to restaurant workers through financial assistance and a network of community resources throughout 47 counties in Georgia.

The Cheese Fest will take place at Historic Fourth Ward Park, Friday, September 28, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Tickets are available at The Cheese Fest – $35 for general admission. A $65 VIP ticket includes admission to The Cheese Fest plus a waterfront pairing of your choice of wine, beer, or Champagne. Cash bars will be available throughout the festival to sell beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. ATMs will also be on-site. General admission ticket includes entry into The Cheese Fest Atlanta, access to the Meltdown competition, and samplings from cheese producers from around the world. The first 500 attendees receive a special giveaway upon entering the festival.

As of June 25, festival experiences include; unlimited tastings from 100+ artisan cheese and specialty food vendors; marketplace goods available for purchase; waterfront seating for cheese pairing classes such as beer, wine and sparkling beverages; A Pig and A Pint, pairing charcuterie from Spotted Trotter with various beers; Olives Galore!, an educational class hosted by Divina, detailing the history, fermentation process and providing samples of numerous olives; the highly anticipated Meltdown competition, featuring popular, Atlanta chefs grilling it out for People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice awards; Cheesemaker Unplugged/Uncensored: Meet the Maker featuring the 2018 winner from American Cheese Society (ACS) Conference; and live music by singer-songwriter, Rachel Baiman.
