Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar in Virginia-Highland continues its year-long 100th-anniversary celebration by bringing back one of its most popular and beloved events—the Atkins Park Charity Golf Tournament on Wednesday, Sept. 28. This year’s event tees off at Heritage Golf links with tournament proceeds benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in memory of Atkins Park Restaurant Group founder Warren Bruno who lost his battle to lymphoma in 2012.
“Atkins Park has been a staple of the community for 100 years, and we have had a lot of fun celebrating our 100th anniversary with special events throughout 2022,” says Sandra Spoon, long-time owner of Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar who was married to Warren Bruno. “We had our first charity golf tournament in 1984, and this is just one of the beloved events that we are excited to bring back.”
This “good ole day of golf” costs $175 per participant and includes green fees, golf carts, goodie bags, continental breakfast with a bloody mary bar, post-tournament hot lunch, prizes, and plenty of beer throughout the day.
Breakfast and registration begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. To register, please contact Elizabeth Howell at ehowell@atkinspark.com or call 404-876-7249 and ask for a manager. Visit atkinspark.com or follow Atkins Park on Instagram to learn more.
