2018 Foster the Funk Fundraising Event

On Saturday, February 17, 2018, Camp Horizon of Georgia will celebrate our 36th year as an organization and our second annual Foster the Funk fundraiser. This fun-filled event held at Terminal West in Atlanta’s West Midtown is their biggest fundraiser of the year. In 2017, this event sold out in just a couple of weeks (330+ people) and raised over $74,000! This year, they’re expecting 600 people to attend, and the goal is to raise over $100,000! On top of that, they want to take you to Funky Town! Join them for a night filled with rad 80’s music by Electric Avenue, good food, cash bar, silent auction, raffle, and their life-changing mission. If you don’t know what Camp Horizon does here’s a little bit about the organization. “The critical dollars raised through this event are used to fund our year – round programs for Atlanta’s youth in foster care. This programming works to restore dignity and hope to children, teen, and young adults who have been abused and neglected – empowering them to make good decisions and lead healthy, productive lives. The unconditional love and support they receive from trusted adults at Camp Horizon helps emotionally wounded children grow into healthy adults. This allows them to break the cycle of abuse in their own lives and prepare them to prevent abuse in the lives of those around them. Camp Horizon is a safe place for them to grow and be loved providing “family” and connections that are often times missing in their lives.” Tickets are $55 and includes entry to the event, light appetizers, awesome 80’s music from Electric Avenue, and access to our silent auction and raffle.
