On Friday, October 30th through Sunday, November 1st, Walker Stalker Con invades the GWCC and infects Atlanta with all things The Walking Dead. Meet your favorite The Walking Dead characters including Norman Reedus(!) Also, there are exclusive panels, celebrity photo ops, events and so much more. Beyond that, immerse yourself in the world of The Walking Dead as you roam the halls with fellow walkers. You should have a scary good time. It’s also something a little different to do this weekend that is full of hotel and club parties. Ticket prices vary from $35 for one day to $120 for all three.

On Saturday, October 31st the goons at A Social Mess are back with their 6th Annual Halloween Party at the Buckhead Theatre. This is the largest Halloween Party in Atlanta and has sold out for a record 5 straight years. Two thousand freaks fill multiple areas with sexy and stupid costumes fumed by Atlanta’s top open format DJs and 80’s bands. Leave your mom at home and join everyone in Atlanta for a night of mayhem and monsters (about c/o Xorbia.com). Tickets are $26 for general admission.
As Halloween approaches, Burn Social Club in Buckhead is full of options. On October 28th, Flamingo Productions presents Latin Elegance Wednesdays’ Masquerade Ball. On Friday, October 30th is Burn it Down at Burn with a big Halloween costume contest and more. On Halloween, Burn continues the party with a continuation of Halloween fun. Check it out.
On Saturday, October 14th, the Red Bull Soapbox Race comes to Atlanta! The Red Bull Soapbox Race is a national event for amateur drivers racing homemade soapbox vehicles. Each hand-made machine is fueled by creativity and competitive fun – not to mention the need for speed. This unique non-motorized racing event challenges both experienced racers and amateurs alike to design and build outrageous, human-powered soapbox dream machines and compete against the clock in a downhill race (c/o the Redbullsopaboxrace.com site). Some of the teams include Atlanta Beer Festivals, Mellow Mushroom, Uber, and Sweetwater Brewery. The event is free.
On Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th comes KSU’s Owl-O-Ween Hot Air Balloon Festival and Taste of Oktoberfest to Kennesaw! With hot air balloons, beer, music, food, and much more, Owl-O-Ween is a fun yearly event where kids and adults alike will enjoy beautiful lights in the sky. Tickets are$15 for adults and $8 for children. VIP includes an Italian Dinner and 4 drink tickets (non-alcoholic) and is $75.
