As Halloween approaches, Burn Social Club in Buckhead is full of options. On October 28th, Flamingo Productions presents Latin Elegance Wednesdays’ Masquerade Ball. On Saturday, October 14th, the Red Bull Soapbox Race comes to Atlanta! The Red Bull Soapbox Race is a national event for amateur drivers racing homemade soapbox vehicles. Each hand-made machine is fueled by creativity and competitive fun – not to mention the need for speed. This unique non-motorized racing event challenges both experienced racers and amateurs alike to design and build outrageous, human-powered soapbox dream machines and compete against the clock in a downhill race (c/o the Redbullsopaboxrace.com site). Some of the teams include Atlanta Beer Festivals, Mellow Mushroom, Uber, and Sweetwater Brewery. The event is free.
On Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th comes KSU’s Owl-O-Ween Hot Air Balloon Festival and Taste of Oktoberfest to Kennesaw! With hot air balloons, beer, music, food, and much more, Owl-O-Ween is a fun yearly event where kids and adults alike will enjoy beautiful lights in the sky. Tickets are$15 for adults and $8 for children. VIP includes an Italian Dinner and 4 drink tickets (non-alcoholic) and is $75.
