Experience Famed Renaissance Masterpiece Up Close and Personal

at Westside Cultural Arts Center

Now through May 23, view Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition, the internationally acclaimed touring exhibition from SEE Attractions, Inc., at the Westside Cultural Arts Center. Exhibit hours are Thursday–Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (last entry at 5 p.m.), and tickets are available at www.chapelsistine.com.

An immersive presentation of museum-quality, near life-size reproductions of the iconic master’s frescoes that adorn the Sistine Chapel in Rome, this showcase features 34 reproductions such as “The Creation of Adam” and “The Last Judgement.” Michelangelo’s celebrated scenes normally viewed from the ground to the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel are re-created at eye level in their original size, allowing visitors to observe all the intricate details of these masterpieces.

“Bringing art to life in an interactive and engaging way is one of the hallmarks of what we do, so sharing the unparalleled beauty of Michelangelo’s famous works right here in Atlanta is a thrilling opportunity for us,” said Joseph Barrera, director of operations for Westside Cultural Arts Center. “We welcome our local community and visitors from all over to explore this one-of-a-kind exhibition with us. We may not be able to visit the Sistine Chapel right now, but this exhibit makes us feel as if we have.”

As seen in world-renowned venues such as the Vienna Cathedral, the Oculus at the World Trade Center and the World Financial Center in Shanghai, Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition combines one of mankind’s greatest artistic achievements with state-of-the-art technology, fully immersing visitors in an intriguing experience. The overwhelming impression for the observer is the details of the art, the closeness to the picture, and the modern style.

“We are honored to share this experience with art lovers of Atlanta and the Southeast,” said Martin Biallas, CEO of Los Angeles based SEE Attractions, Inc., producer of the Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition. “Whether you have visited the Sistine Chapel before or are seeing these masterpieces for the first time, the intimate, one-of-a-kind view invites a new perspective.”

Timed tickets are available to limit capacity and ensure social distancing. Westside Cultural Arts Center follows all safety measures put in place by the City of Atlanta, including mask requirements, social distancing and heavily sanitizing all major touch points and surfaces regularly.
