GET OGRE IT! A Shrek Burlesque Spectacular Brings Fairy Tale Fantasy to the Stage

What happens when swamp sass meets sultry sparkle? Get ready to find out, because “SHREKXUAL: Burlesque and Blingo” is crashing the stage with glitter, green, and a whole lot of gumption!

Inspired by the beloved ogre and his band of fairytale misfits, this one-of-a-kind burlesque parody pays homage to the iconic characters of the Shrek universe — but with a whole new layer of leather, lace, and irreverent humor. Performers and producers have taken previous iterations of this production across the country to sold out venues! From Orlando Fringe Festival to Virginia, this show is a giggle-fest in all it’s glory!

The cast and crew take everything you thought you knew about the swamp and turn it into a glittering, body-positive, bawdy celebration of love, layers, and letting your freak flag fly.

It’s fun, it’s meant to celebrate our performers and our nostalgia” says Cherry Bonbon, creator and co-producer of the show. “This production is about parody, but it’s also about celebrating yourself, and embracing your inner ogre in a harsh world where fairytale endings are all that’s shown on social media..”

The cast for this show includes Andy Laine as the tit-ular Shrek and Donkey, Cherry Bonbon as Fiona and Lord Farquaad, Mae B. Smitten as Gingy and Dragon, Tiffany Problem as our stunning stage hand and The Jessica Nova, Atlanta native, as the bubbly and all-powerful Fairy Godmother and….perhaps a secret second storybook character.
