Community Fun Takes Center Stage with Hands-on Mixology, Tournaments and Tribute Moments

This spring, Your 3rd Spot invites guests to recharge, reconnect and reimagine what community looks like with a vibrant lineup of events designed to bring people together through play, creativity and shared experiences. From cornhole tournaments to cocktail gardens and family celebrations, these curated gatherings showcase the venue’s unique ability to spark connection through fun and flavor.

April 24 – Spring Fling: Toss & Trivia

  • Guests are invited to join a night of friendly competition and casual connection at Spring Fling: Toss & Trivia, hosted in the Cornhole Arena. Open to all from 6:30-9:30 p.m. and with free entry for members ($10 for non-members), the evening features a bracketed cornhole tournament, live trivia icebreakers, giveaways and an Experience Pass for unlimited gaming. May 4 – Garden to Glass

  • Spring growth takes center stage at Garden to Glass, a hands-on herb-planting and mixology experience on the patio. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, its friendly canine teams and the Atlanta Fire Rescue will be on-site to teach kids important safety tips while they have a blast. Iconic entertainment destination soars into the unofficial start of summer with Farmer’s Market, Cinco de Mayo celebration, Mother’s Day brunches and more!

The Battery Atlanta has planned a May filled with fun for families and friends. Visitors can enjoy the free Farmer’s Market on the Plaza Green on select Sundays, and the new Taste of Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta Food Tours continue at Truist Park. Live! at The Battery Atlanta has lined up a Fiesta de Mayo celebration, and the eateries will once again host the fan-favorite UFC Fight Night. Select restaurants will also curate Mother’s Day brunches to celebrate moms and mother figures over a delicious meal. The music is nonstop at the Coca-Cola Roxy in May with performances from Sean Paul to Sum 41, and Park Bench is hosting the 2024 Make A Wish Country Jam! Returning restaurant promotions include Noche Tropical at El Super Pan and Sunday Supper at Garden & Gun Club.

Farmer’s Market by Kaiser Permanente
Sunday, May 5 and May 12 from 1 – 4 p.m.
The Farmer’s Market is back in season starting May 5. Local vendors will offer a variety of prepared foods, farm-fresh produce, artisanal bread and baked goods, wellness products and more. Additional activities include a petting zoo at every market and the Bark Market, the perfect place to buy a treat for furry friends. Enjoy a month full of spring events at the West Midtown mixed-use destination

Gather to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo, March for Babies & the Highly Anticipated Museum of Illusions Opening

Have no fear, May is here! With schools getting out and the weather heating up, we can’t wait to be outside all season long. This month, some of the city’s best happenings will take place at Atlantic Station, in addition to several kid-friendly programs, making Atlantic Station the place to be.

ATLANTA RESTAURANTS BRING OUT THE OLÉ FOR CINCO DE MAYO

Authentic Dishes, Creative Cocktails and Live Entertainment Mark the Festive Holiday on May 5

Cinco de Mayo is a popular holiday celebrated on May 5 every year to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. In Atlanta, many restaurants and bars offer specials and celebrations to mark the occasion. From authentic Mexican cuisine to creative cocktails, there’s something for everyone. Whether looking to indulge in a delicious margarita or try some spicy salsa, Atlanta’s Cinco de Mayo celebrations are not to be missed.

For the most happening fiesta in Buckhead, guests can head to Chido & Padre’s. The lively eatery will open at 2 p.m. on May 5 and stay open late serving its menu of authentic Mexican dishes along with drink features. A DJ amps up the fun from 6-10 p.m. Make reservations online.

HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern at Halcyon in Alpharetta is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a party at its patio bar. Starting at 6:30 p.m. rain or shine, guests will enjoy festive dancing to the Latin seven-piece band “Catalina Sabrosa” and margaritas and taco specials. HOBNOB’s other locations—Brookhaven, Dunwoody, and Atlantic Station—also are celebrating the day with live entertainment and drink specials. Reservations can be made online.

Rreal Tacos—with locations in Midtown, West Midtown, Chamblee, and Sandy Springs—offers the authentic taste of Mexican street food along with a selection of more than 200 tequilas and over 100 mezcals. Guests can start the dining experience with seasoned elote, and for the main course choose from the variety of tacos topped with fresh meats or quesadillas created with ingredients sourced from Mexico. Many of us will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo from home this year, but don’t despair. Atlanta restaurants have you covered with a variety of party-at-home specials, meals and libations to add plenty of olé to the day.

HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern keeps the margaritas flowing all day at both the Brookhaven and Dunwoody locations. Open from noon-9 p.m., HOBNOB fans can pick up $3 tacos (chicken, pork and veggie) along with $5 margaritas to kick up the festivities at home.

Lazy Llama Cantina throws a fiesta with tacos and margaritas to-go. The Midtown eatery is open from noon-9 p.m. with a Cinco de Mayo special of two tacos (chicken, pork or veggie), chips and salsa and a Llamarita margarita for $12.95. Keep the margaritas flowing with $5 individual margaritas and $15 margarita pitchers. This special is available for pick-up only. Lazy Llama also is offering a 12 taco family meal with 12 tacos (chicken, pork or veggie), chips, salsa, guacamole and queso for $69. The family meal is available for pick-up or delivery via DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub.

Marlow’s Tavern livens up the occasion with a Cinco de Marlow’s package that feeds four. For $59, Marlow’s provides a fajita kit with a choice of two proteins (lime and cumin grilled chicken thighs, chili-rubbed grilled skirt steak or blackened and sautéed shrimp), tortillas, peppers and onions, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, black beans, rice, chicken pozole, tortilla chips and churros for dessert. Make it a party and add margarita mix for $10 per quart (tequila not included). Add a bottle of Marlow’s sangria (red or white) for $30.
