BULLY BOY ADDS NEW DATES TO ITS SELL-OUT SUSHI ROLLING CLASSES

Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 6/20/25

An Interactive, Sake-Fueled Dive Into the Art of Sushi, Led by Chef Wendy Roman

Wednesdays, June 25; July 23; and August 27, 2025 at 7 p.m.

What started as a one-off has become one of the season’s hottest midweek tickets. After a string of sold-out sessions, Bully Boy is adding more summer sushi rolling classes on Wednesdays, June 25; July 23; and August 27, 2025, at 7 p.m.

Hosted inside the restaurant’s lush, greenery-drenched dining room just off the BeltLine, the experience is led by Executive Chef and Sushi Chef Wendy Roman, who guides the room through the making of three signature sushi rolls—crafted with the same pristine seafood and seasonal ingredients featured on Bully Boy’s kaiseki-inspired menu. To round out the experience, each class includes a curated sake tasting: three distinct pours (Nigori, Junmai, and Daiginjo styles), served over the course of the evening—two 3 oz pours and one 6 oz pour—for about two full glasses total. It’s a hands-on night of rolling, sipping, and snacking in a setting that feels more dinner party than classroom.

Tickets are $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Space is limited, so reservations are highly recommended. To reserve, call 678.904.5607 or visit OpenTable. Bully Boy is located at 828 Ralph McGill Blvd NE, Atlanta, GA 30306. For more information, visit www.bullyboyatl.com and follow along on Instagram, Facebook, and X at @bullyboyatl.

With all the robust energy, excitement, and flavor you’ve come to expect from the cultural movement known as OYE Fest, organizers are excited to announce details for this year’s event, taking place on October 04 in the heart of the city at Mercedes-Benz Stadium’s most well-known pre-game tailgating spot- ‘Lot 432.’ Featuring top-level production across multiple stages, the lineup will showcase a full spectrum of Latinx performers, including local, regional, and emerging talent. Returning to its indie-based urban roots that began in 2018, headliners for OYE Fest 2025 include Puerto Rican rapper Álvaro Diaz; reggaeton duo Alexis y Fido returning to Atlanta for the first time in ten years; Mexican-American singer, rapper, and activist Snow tha Product; street sweeper turned TikTok phenom musician Macario Martinez and Latin GRAMMY-winning sensation pablopablo.

Curated by co-founders Randall Ruiz and Margarita Rios, OYE Fest is more than just a music festival, blending music with art, culture, and progressive activism to provide representation and pride for Latinx creatives. Passionate about supporting causes vital to the Latin community, the festival gives immigrant advocacy efforts, such as DACA and organizations like United We Dream, a platform to be heard by a wider audience. It builds environments that are welcoming, inclusive, and safe for all — particularly emphasizing the voices of Afro-Latinx, queer, and women-identifying individuals. Additional details on represented programs, artists, vendors, and food will be announced in the coming weeks.

“OYE Fest creates spaces where Latin culture is celebrated and uplifted — because visibility leads to representation, and representation leads to change,” says Margarita Rios, co-founder of OYE Fest. “Since we began this in 2018, it’s always been more than just a music festival — it’s a cultural movement rooting Latinx identity firmly into Atlanta’s creative and social landscape.”

The Mimms Museum of Technology and Art (Mimms Museum), formerly Computer Museum of America, a nonprofit metro Atlanta attraction home to one of the world’s largest collections of digital-era artifacts and rotating art exhibits, today announced its new summer series: Night Mode. On the second Friday of each month—June 13, July 11 and August 8—the museum will stay open until 9 p.m., inviting guests to explore after-hours with drinks available for purchase.

“Extending our regular hours for Night Mode allows the museum to connect with more visitors and share the rich history and innovation our artifacts and exhibits have contributed to our modern world,” said Lonnie Mimms, co-founder and board chair of the Mimms Museum. “Our goal is to make technology and art more accessible, and Night Mode advances that mission by expanding how and when the public can experience our collections and gives the community a new way to engage with the museum.”

Night Mode welcomes guests to explore the museum’s extensive art and technology collections in a relaxed, after-hours setting with beer, wine and soft drinks available for purchase at a card-only bar. Exhibit highlights include an original Enigma machine, iconic supercomputers, a rare collection of Salvador Dalí prints and more. In addition to Night Mode, the museum will continue its Sensory-Friendly Mornings and Punch Card Machine Demo events this summer, and will host “Educator Saturday” on August 30, providing free admission to K-12 educators.
