9TH ANNUAL END OF SUMMER PIG ROAST AT CYPRESS STREET PINT AND PLATE

Cypress Street Pint and Plate will once again host its annual end-of-summer pig roast on Saturday, August 27, 2016. Beginning at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., this year’s pig roast is free to attend to all ages. While the main attraction will once again be a succulent whole hog that the Cypress team smokes overnight, partygoers are also invited to enjoy an array of ice-cold SweetWater Brewing Company brews from the SweetWater Beer truck, live music and exciting giveaways including a SweetWater corn hole set and much more. Hungry attendees have the option of purchasing individual plates of pork with the fixings and homemade sides or ordering off of the traditional Cypress Street menu. ATLANTA WINE PARTY SUMMER EDITION

On Saturday, August 27th, Atlanta Wine Party brings you 50+ wines to taste, souvenir acrylic wine glass, and live music/DJ. General Admission: $40 advance, $50 after Aug. 18, $60 day of event. VIP: Exclusive area, 15 additional premium wines, and Light appetizers. $70 advance, $80 after Aug. 18 (not available day of).

13th Annual German Bierfest

The 13th Annual Atlanta German Bierfest is back on Saturday, August 20th in Woodruff Park for an incredible day of authentic German beers, music, and food. Festival fans will receive a commemorative sample glass to enjoy unlimited samples of more than 35 authentic German Beers. Atlanta area German restaurants and food vendors will serve up authentic cuisine such as bratwurst, käsepätzle, pretzels, sauerkraut, schnitzel, and more! The German Bierfest also features live music and plenty of hands-on sports activities and games. Gates open at 2pm and the event ends at 7pm. Tickets for the event are on sale now at www.germanbierfest.com. General admission tickets are $35 advance, $40 day of the festival and include admission into the event, a commemorative German Bierfest sampling glass and all the beer you can safely consume. Designated driver tickets are available for $10 which includes event admission plus unlimited soft drinks and water.

The Yacht Rock Revival at Piedmont Park

On Saturday, August 20, 2016, Park Tavern will once again present the annual Yacht Rock Revival in The Meadow in Piedmont Park. With the Midtown Atlanta skyline as a backdrop for the smoothest evening of music all year, Yacht Rock Revue will be joined by an array of special guests including: Juice Newton (“Queen of Hearts” and “Angel of The Morning”), Ambrosia (“Biggest Part of Me”), Stephen Bishop (“Save It for a Rainy Day” and “On and On”), Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss of Player (“Baby Come Back”), Robbie Dupree (“Steal Away”), Matthew Wilder (“Break My Stride”), and featuring a farewell performance by Starbuck (“Moonlight Feels Right”). Music lovers will be treated to an evening featuring the smoothest music of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s to ever to grace this planet. Hitting the stage in their polyester style with their undeniable wisecrack humor, Yacht Rock Revue will once again belt out spot-on renditions of everything from Hall & Oates to Huey Lewis to Prince to Christopher Cross. Beer and cocktails, including specials from Heineken, Dos Equis, Absolut, and Jack Daniels, will also be available for purchase in addition to Park Tavern’s full dinner menu. VIP Lounge Tickets include access to the air-conditioned tent at Park Tavern, access to indoor restrooms, a bourbon bar, exclusive food offerings and a captain’s hat. Seating will be limited and a view of the stage is not guaranteed from the VIP area.
