Shoppers denim donations to be given to local community thrift store reinvesting proceeds from donations into local charities
The Avenue Peachtree City, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, has kicked off Denim Days, a denim recycling promotion aimed at highlighting community connections with sustainability. All denim items collected will be donated to Clothes Less Traveled in Peachtree City.
“Fall is right around the corner! As we look forward to kicking off a new school year, there is no better time to clean out your wardrobe and stock up on new pieces you can wear all year long,” said Johnathan Andrews, general manager at The Avenue Peachtree City. “Our Denim Days campaign promotes sustainability by allowing The Avenue shoppers to give their pre-loved denim a new home and enjoy incredible deals and discounts all while empowering change in the local community.”
Starting now through July 30, shoppers are encouraged to drop off their used denim to select stores to take advantage of amazing discounts, freebies, and a chance to win a custom creation from denim upcycling brand American Butt Clothing. The Avenue will also be giving away center-themed swag bags for each donation while supplies last at its office located near Hobnob Neighborhood Tavern.
Promotions at participating stores include:
- American Eagle – Enjoy $10 off a new pair of denim with a donation
- Barnett & Co – Donate at least one pair of denim and get 20 percent off regular-priced denim on the day of drop-off
- Beignets & Brew – Get 20 percent off an order of Beignets with a donation
- Souls by LT – Donate a denim item to get 10 percent off your entire purchase of regular-priced items
- Talbots – Enjoy up to 40 percent off a single item with a denim donation
